We care about the historic buildings in our community, state, and region. We believe a community’s historic buildings give it a unique identity and provide its residents with pride of place for many generations.
Upon starting a new historic preservation project, we make ourselves familiar with the physical fabric and current condition of the building. We commonly document these findings in reports or share them with client groups through presentations. Sometimes the scope of a restoration project is the entire building and site, and other times it is limited to a specific section of the building, such as the roof.
We provide value to our clients as specialists who understand the structure, systems, and materials of historic buildings. We are knowledgeable about current conservation methods for historic materials, and sources for replacement of unique historic materials when needed. We are well versed in the standards and regulations that apply to many historic buildings and sites.
Through historic preservation, we help communities bring their historic buildings back to life.
